This page covers the terms, disclaimers, and policies for berrygoodcopy.com ("the Site"), operated by Berry Good Copy ("we," "us," or "Mikey").
No fun way to say this: by using the Site, reading the content, or buying anything, you agree to what's below. If you don't agree, don't use the Site. (We won't take it personally.)
1.Informational Purposes Only
Everything on this Site — articles, frameworks, free resources, the LinkedIn Writer's Playbook, the newsletter, and any other product or content — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
It is not professional advice. We are not your lawyer, accountant, financial advisor, or business consultant, and nothing here creates that kind of relationship. Before you make business, financial, legal, or tax decisions, talk to a qualified professional who knows your specific situation.
You use the information here at your own discretion and risk.
2.No Earnings Promises or Guarantees
Let's be straight with each other, because this is the section the gurus bury in gray 8-point type.
This Site talks about real results — including specific figures like "$200 per post," premium freelance rates, and independent income. Those are our results, or the results of specific people we've worked with. They are examples of what's possible. They are not a promise, projection, or guarantee of what you will earn.
We have no idea how you'll do. We don't know your skills, your work ethic, your existing client base, your market, or how much effort you'll actually put in. Your results depend on factors we can't see and don't control.
Any testimonials, case studies, screenshots, or examples shown on this Site are exceptional results. They are not typical, not average, and not a guarantee that you'll get the same outcome. Freelance income involves real risk, including the risk that you earn nothing and the risk that you lose money you spend on products, tools, or services.
If you're looking for a guaranteed path to six figures in 30 days, you're in the wrong place. We don't sell that, and nobody honest does.
3.Products, Purchases & Third-Party Platforms
Our products and services are sold and delivered through third-party platforms — currently including Gumroad (for product sales) and Kit (for email and newsletters), and others we may use in the future.
When you buy a product or subscribe to an email list, your purchase is also subject to the terms, conditions, and privacy practices of the platform that processes it. In most cases, that platform — not Berry Good Copy — is the merchant of record. They handle payment processing, transaction security, applicable sales tax or VAT, and similar matters. We are the seller of the product itself, but the transaction is governed by the platform's terms.
We are not responsible for the availability, performance, security, or policies of these third-party platforms. If a platform changes its terms, fees, or features, that's outside our control.
4.Refunds
The LinkedIn Writer's Playbook comes with a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund. If it's not for you, ask within 30 days of purchase and you get your money back.
Refunds are processed through the platform you purchased from (currently Gumroad). To request one, use Gumroad's refund process or email us at mikey@berrygoodcopy.com and we'll sort it out. Other products may carry their own refund terms, which will be stated at the point of sale.
5.Affiliate & Material Connections Disclosure
Some links on this Site may be affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
We also sell our own products, and we recommend tools and services we believe are genuinely useful. Assume that where we mention a product or service, a material connection may exist — meaning we may earn money, or have a business or personal relationship with the provider.
We only recommend things we'd use or have used ourselves. But you should still do your own research before buying anything, here or anywhere else. A recommendation is not a substitute for your own judgment.
This disclosure is made in line with U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidelines on endorsements and testimonials.
6.Intellectual Property
All original content on this Site — including writing, frameworks, the Narrative Psychology framework, product materials, graphics, and the Berry Good Copy name and branding — is owned by Berry Good Copy or used under license, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You're welcome to read it, share links to it, and apply what you learn. You may not copy, republish, resell, or redistribute our content or products as your own without written permission. If you'd like to quote or reference our work, reach out — we're reasonable.
7.External Links
This Site links to other websites — Medium, LinkedIn, third-party tools, and resources we reference. Those links are provided for your convenience.
We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, policies, or practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.
8.Limitation of Liability
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Site will be accurate, complete, error-free, or continuously available.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Berry Good Copy is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from your use of the Site, its content, or any product or service purchased through it — including, without limitation, lost profits, lost business, or losses resulting from your reliance on the information provided.
You use this Site and act on its information at your own risk.
9.Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Berry Good Copy is operated by an individual based in Japan, and Japan is where the Site is run from.
If you are a consumer, nothing in this section takes away protections you're entitled to under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the place where you live. Those apply regardless of what this page says.
Purchases made through a third-party platform (such as Gumroad) are also subject to that platform's own terms, including its dispute, refund, and chargeback processes. For issues with a transaction, the platform's process generally applies first.
If a dispute does come up, email us at mikey@berrygoodcopy.com before anything else. Most problems are solved faster with a conversation than with a court. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be submitted to the Tokyo District Court of Japan as the agreed court of first instance, except where the mandatory law of your home jurisdiction requires otherwise.
10.Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms, disclaimers, and policies from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Changes take effect when posted. If you keep using the Site after changes are posted, you're agreeing to the updated terms.
